God is all knowing. He knows everything all the time, past, present, or future. All things are present. In fact there is no such thing as time. All things that were created are in Genesis one, time is not there. Only that the sun, moon, and stars were given in order to make a calendar. (See Also: Wheeler-DeWitt equation.)
He knows all of creation
. . . all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. John 1:3
We tend to think of the small things we see. The sun, moon, and stars, the mountains valleys and plains etc. However that is just the visual things. Think of all the information that was given at creation. All the laws of physics even the ones we don’t understand yet, were set in motion. All the information that is in DNA in every living thing was written.
He determines the number of the stars, he gives to all of them their names. Psa. 147:4
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable. Is. 40:28
He knows His people.
We have no secrets from our creator. We are spiritually naked and exposed before an all-knowing God. There are those who pretend that this is not the case, that there is NO God watching their every move. They see God as way to close and go to great lengths spiritually and/or mentally to push Him away.
. . . would not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of the heart. Psa. 44:21
. . . the LORD, knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath. Psa. 94:11
Thou knowest when I sit down and when I rise up; thou discernest my thoughts from afar. Psa. 139:2
. . . then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and render to each whose heart thou knowest, according to all his ways (for thou, thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men); 1Kings 8:39
Even those that love God must find enough trust to sustain a life time of His love. If the trust never grows the love well never satisfy. There will always be a note of fear, the fear that He will be angry, the fear that He will be vengeful. Then comes the doubt, and the spiritual leaders that prey on the doubt. Some teach that with tithing one can bribe God. Some teach that repetitious praying will bribe God and sell beads to keep track of all the prayers. If one listens to the Popes tweets one will be given an indulgence. And the silliness goes on.
Do you not know that if you yield yourselves to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? Rom. 6:16
“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever. 1Chr. 28:9
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Matt. 6:8
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s will. Matt. 10:29
And they prayed and said, “Lord, who knowest the hearts of all men, show which one of these two thou hast chosen Acts 1:24
And before him no creature is hidden, but all are open and laid bare to the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Heb. 4:13
. . . whenever our hearts condemn us; for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 1John 3:20
He Knows Everything all the Time
We tend to think of God as planing all of history. We talk of discovering God plans and purposes. However God does not actually plan He just knows. This is the only way we can express such an idea of an all knowing God. Language is insufficient to express how Omnisciences works. How can the finite explain the infinite?
. . . says the Lord, who has made these things known from of old.’ Acts 15:18
He was destined before the foundation of the world but was made manifest at the end of the times for your sake. 1Pet. 1:20
He Knows Us Before We are Born
He knows the future for it is present to Him. He know our sins and our victories before our births.
I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand. Ex. 3:19
2 And the man cried against the altar by the word of the LORD, and said, “O altar, altar, thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and he shall sacrifice upon you the priests of the high places who burn incense upon you, and men’s bones shall be burned upon you.’”1 King 13:2
28 who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd, and he shall fulfil all my purpose’; saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”Is 44:28
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”Jer 1:5
15 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and had called me through his grace, 16 was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not confer with flesh and blood, Gal 1:15-16
He Knows All Possibilities
We can not play “What if?” with God. He has lad out the rules. Following them brings blessings. Disregarding them brings curses. It is really that simple.
And you, Caperna-um, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. Matt. 11:23
Then said David, “Will the men of Keilah surrender me and my men into the hand of Saul?”And the LORD said, “They will surrender you.” 1Sam. 23:12
O that you had hearkened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; Is. 48:18
God is like our lover. When we meet a potential lover there come a moment when a decision must be made. Do we trust this person enough to touch lips, and once this is done is there enough trust to build a relationship? Can that trust last a life time?
We can never fully comprehend God Omniscience, we must simply TRUST.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. Psa. 28:7
